Vintage Television Commercials

Television commercials are like
a time capsule of pop culture history.

I've gathered some videos that depict
what I consider the lost era of innocence
 . . . the 50's and 60's.

50's and 60's Commercials Vintage 50's and 60's Commercials 60's Commercials Classic 60's Commercials

Here are the Anacin commercials . . . Mother Please is really poor quality, but the only one I could find :(

OMG I'm enjoying this way too much :)

Some updates . . . Hey Mikey!!

How about Mother Nature?

Better refresh the page . . . this post is still evolving!!

I loved Speedy!! The Rice Krispies one I vaguely remember. Many of them I never heard of the brand.

My all time favorite wasn't in the batch of commercials . . . I don't think . . .

Does anyone remember the Excedrin commercial (I think it was Excedrin) . . . in one of them, the lady is cooking and someone tries to help her and she just about snaps their head off hollering at them? They say something like . . . I'll do it myself!!!!!!! and then she grabs her head as if in extreme pain. That commercial was too funny . . . I must look for it!

Yes, I remember that Excedrin ad phrase, Gina. "Mother PLEASE, I'd rather do it myself!" (LOL) The line became so popular that it was used in comedy sketches on shows like Carol Burnett. Thanks for posting these vintage ads!

Thanks Shady Del . . . I finally found a video of it!! I couldn't think of the whole phrase :)

Now I can relax . . . I hate when I can't find something.

Yep, those were the days!

My parents owned a car just like the pink one in the first picture, only it was red.

Hi! I am a new follower and a newbie to blogging with a little over a month in. My blog is not as technical as all of you and I think I messed up the link that lists all the other bloggers but I do have the button and a comment section for Social Sunday. It is beginning to look like I am going to have to pay someone to fix my blog because I won't be able to keep up if I don't. I want to be a reviewer and maybe later on have giveaways but with the way I fixed the blog, it may not be possible. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! I am following you thru GFC and would love a follow back! I do have GFC at least. Whew, thank God for that. Have a great night. Love all the old commercials. Had actually forgotten about a few of them. Thanks for the reminders.
